Wax and these materials do not bond at a molecular level, meaning the wax sits on top of the surface and washes away quickly. In contrast, true ceramic or graphene oxide coatings chemically bond with the car’s paint, forming a durable, hydrophobic layer that lasts much longer and provides far better protection and gloss. These misleading claims make wax even more outdated in the age of modern vehicle care.
